Welcome New Children's Librarian Tish Wiggs Tish moved to West Virginia in 2015. A native of North Carolina, she holds a BA and MSLS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as an MA in Public History from UNC-Greensboro. She lives in Shepherdstown with her husband, James Broomall, who is a professor in Shepherd University's History Department, and their three children, Simon, Henry, and Adeliza. Since the Fall of 2016, she has worked part-time in both the Adult and Children's departments of the Shepherdstown Public Library. Tish is excited to be the new Children's Librarian, and she looks forward sharing her enthusiasm for books and learning with the children and families of Shepherdstown.

Thank you former Children's Librarian, Tara Carlisle, and best wishes in your next, new adventure. You will be missed!

Third Annual Shepherdstown Public Library Golf Scramble Classic JOIN US !!! Friday, September 20, 2019 (rain date: Monday, September 23) Sign in starts at 11:00 am Lunch at 11:30 am SHOTGUN START AT 12:30 PM The Club at Cress Creek in Shepherdstown Registration includes lunch, dinner, green fees, and golf carts! There will be multiple raffle opportunities! Prizes will be awarded to 1 st and 2 nd place teams based on gross and net scores! And, again this year, a chance to win a car for a hole-in-one on the 6th hole! Proceeds benefit the new Shepherdstown Public Library. New Library Project Update  Raised to Date: $3,279,563 !!!

An enormous and very heartfelt thank you to an anonymous donor who earlier this month pledged a very generous $250,000 to the new library project! Plus, our sincerest ongoing gratitude to our amazing Nourishing Literacy Giving Circle members whose combined gifts to date total nearly $20,000 for our new library!
