Nearing the Site Work
Finish Line!

At last! We have a paved construction access road from the Route 45 Bypass to our new library site. Says Kinsley Project Manager Frank Barthalow, "If the weather holds, we'll probably be able to wrap this up in 2-3 weeks." Kinsley's site work, at least for now, would be complete. We can then look forward to welcoming our building contractor - bids from our prequalified contractors are due later this month - with Board review and contract award to happen in July. The final phase of this project, building construction, may begin as early as August 1st!

WE ARE SO EXCITED AND HOPE YOU ARE, TOO!

It's That Time for
Summer Reading Programs

After a very successful Kickoff on June 5, the Summer Reading Program for kids and adults is underway!

This year’s theme is Tails & Tales, and throughout the summer we will be bringing kids and their parents many opportunities to learn about real animals with help from our partners at PVAS and Solsbury Hill Farms. Our schedule includes learning about fireflies and sheep, meeting farm animals, doing animal yoga, and owning a dragon.

Plus, Take-&-Makes for kids every week from June 12 to August 13.

Drop by the library or click here for more information about the summer reading program schedule and to download your reading log!
Adults can join in the summer reading fun with Tails & Tales BINGO. Pick up your
Bingo Card from the library, or download here. Each BINGO earns an entry,
up to five (5) entries, into a raffle for the end of the program prize! Bingo cards
can be returned to the library or emailed to [email protected].

In keeping with the summer reading theme, a collection drive for the Animal Welfare Society will take place during the month of July. Donations can be dropped off at the library during operating hours. Check the AWS Wishlist for donation ideas. Stay tuned for videos on our Facebook page with instructions on how to make homemade
animal toys that you can donate!

Mr. Jon brought his own wonderful balance
of music, laughter, books, dancing, and
"Wake up, George!" to our Kickoff event. Parents and children alike were delighted
with his performance, and we sure hope
to invite him back soon!
Our Gradual Reopening Continues

We were so pleased to welcome back patrons on a limited basis earlier this month. Messrs. Owen and Eli Shaddix (pictured left) and their mom were the very first patrons
to visit our Children's Department! For the foreseeable
future, visits to the Children's Department will require
an appointment.
No appointment is necessary to enter the adult department, but we do ask that you limit your visit to 15 minutes. We have set a limit of six people, including patrons and staff, at one time.

The Journal.
