Progress!

Project construction has not yet begun, even though there was so much hope that we could at least begin installation of infrastructure and complete road access this fall.

We have, however, been making progress! Our architects and engineers have been busy finalizing schematic design to include floor, casework, shelving, seating, and AV/data/technical requirements specific to each and every room planned for our

new library. Landscape architecture and design is also moving forward, inclusive

of all donated spaces.

As part of a special community event that our Friends of Shepherdstown Library (FOSL) are planning to host next February, the Library will present a project update to bring everyone up to speed. Details coming soon!

And, the magic continues inside! Take a minute to drop by our newly renovated Young Adult area. Our Children's Librarian, Tish Wiggs, has done an amazing job transforming this space into a roomy, comfortable area for teens to come and read or work/play on the computer.
