The Phased Reopening of the Library
is Underway!

During this initial phase, our collection is once again available for check out using the "place a hold" process. To place a hold, visit our online catalog (using your library card number and PIN), call the library at (304) 876-2783, or email [email protected] for adult titles and [email protected] for children's and YA titles. When your holds are ready for pickup, a librarian will contact you to schedule your pick up time. When visiting, make sure to maintain a six-foot distance from others, and please wear a mask. Please return your bags so that we can reuse them!
Read more about our no-contact policy.

June Hours: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
The library is also very pleased to announce a "Fine Free Every Day" policy where all fines for overdue books will be suspended through August. In a record-setting effort to take advantage of this policy, the library's copy of Aldous Huxley's novel " Brave New World " was returned on Monday, June 1, 2020, more than 20 years after its due date of October 4, 1999. Might be really late, but maybe also just in time ...
Just a Very Quick New Library Project Update

Wonderful news! According to our project Owner's Representative Chuck Hydorn, " The pre-qualification requests will go out by June 10, 2020, and we will allow a one week turn around. At this time we anticipate the bidding documents will be ready by the first week of July 2020. We will allow a three week turn around for the bid process." Then ... drumroll please ... the bid opening will take place, and a contractor will be chosen!
