ADMINISTRATION AND ELECTED OFFICIALS TO TOUR HIGHBRIDGE PARK, INCLUDING THE PEDESTRIAN HIGH BRIDGE TO BE COMPLETED LATER THIS YEAR

 

New York, NY-On Friday, May 2nd, 2014, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez will join Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, DDC Commissioner Feniosky Pena-Mora and First Deputy Parks Commissioner Liam Kavanagh to tour Manhattan's Highbridge Park, site of the pedestrian Highbridge undergoing major renovations and scheduled for reopening later this year.

 

Highbridge Park is experiencing a rebirth of sorts, with several major capital improvements recently completed and more scheduled for completion within the next 5 years. The city officials will examine the centerpiece of this renovation, the High Bridge connecting the Bronx and Manhattan, as well as the many other amenities that have been freshly added; are under construction presently; and that are some years down the road.
