Special Edition - Active Modes Plan
As we originally reported in our November 2021 issue of The Pedal Post, the City of Fort Collins embarked upon developing a new Active Modes Plan last September, which is combining and updating the City’s 2011 Pedestrian Plan and 2014 Bicycle Plan. The plan will incorporate not only pedestrians and bicyclists, but also micro-mobility devices such as electric scooters and skateboards. Key opportunities to significantly improve and expand the City’s existing active modes networks, support facilities, policies, and programs are being identified with a goal of making it easy, safe, and attractive for people of all ages and abilities to use active modes of transportation. Your Voice Matters.....Provide Your Feedback Today!
The Active Modes Plan will shape and dictate priorities and infrastructure improvements for approx. the next 10 years. While Bike Fort Collins has been proud to be advocating on behalf of all bicyclists as a member of the project's Community Advisory Committee, per the project's timeline, we are amidst a critical public input time period to gather community-wide feedback, experiences and observations regarding the bicycle network, and areas for needed infrastructure improvement as it relates to bicycling (and walking).

Please take a moment to provide some input relative to prioritizing strategies, as well as review the draft update to the 2014 master plan map by dropping pins and comments in association with the bicycle network and any specific intersections or areas you've experienced or know to currently be unsafe, or not as bicycle friendly as they could/should be.

Note: if someone has already identified something, you can "support" or "disagree" with their pin drop or comment, rather than re-enter the same issue.
Hurry! Deadline for providing feedback is FRIDAY, MARCH 31.
