Looking for how to help your neighbors in need? Here's a simple way to put your dollars to work. The United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, and Pierce Counties just created a
COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund
to take in donations and quickly disperse them to local organizations working hard to meet our neighbors' basic needs. An added bonus: Red Wing Shoe Company will double all donations up to $20,000.
Listen as Mayor Sean Dowse
talks to UW Executive Director Maureen Nelson about the details.

Spring is Here: Flood Planning Begins
|
|
It's springtime in Red Wing, and that means potential flooding. Currently, water levels are expected to be moderate, with the Mississippi River possibly reaching 15 feet by Wednesday, April 8. We'll keep you in the loop as things change. Free sand is available for sandbagging if you need it. Just head to the City's lot at 2050 Levee Road across from the boat storage lot. Bring your own tools and bags to collect and transport the sand.

Students First Online Week Complete!
|
|
Congratulations to all the teachers, students, parents, administrators, and volunteers who worked so hard to make this first week of online learning complete. The success of Red Wing's students relies on ALL of us, and Red Wing is meeting the challenge. In addition to daily online classes,
the school district
and community partners also provided hundreds of breakfasts and lunches per day to make sure no student went hungry (even on weekends), cared for children of critical-care workers, and provided computers to students who needed one so everyone could have the necessary technology. THANK YOU!
