Episode airs tonight featuring Mission Playhouse backdrop
Last month, "Modern Family" spent the day at the Mission Playhouse filming several scenes that will be featured in the season premiere tonight at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.
The exterior of the Mission Playhouse served as the backdrop to a wedding reception that Gloria (Sofia Vergara), Jay (Ed O' Neill), Manny (Rico Rodriguez) and Joe (Jeremy Maguire) attend in Mexico. Later in the day, crews set up a large green screen in the Playhouse parking lot where Claire (Julie Bowen) and Phil (Ty Burrell) filmed a car segment.
