The 2020 Census - Close to Home
|
|
The 2020 Census is a big deal. So big, it will impact us right here in Red Wing. Why? Census results will affect planning and funding for everything from infrastructure to education--that means
our roads and schools. We count as Minnesotans and as Red Wing residents, so let's make sure our voices are being heard.
Learn more about the community impact of the 2020 Census and
how you can participate on April 1.

It's back! The Big Turn Music Festival returns to Red Wing "Febrrruary" 21-22. More than 200 bands will take over 23 venues throughout the city, including the Sheldon Theatre, ArtReach, the St. James Hotel and more. This year, the City Council donated $5,000 towards the festival's return and it promises to be the best festival yet.

This year's Act of Kindness award recipient embodies the spirit of the program. Vanessa just turned 13 (happy belated birthday!), but she's been assisting with caring for her mother since she was six years old. Vanessa's great-grandmother calls her "a full-fledged caregiver" and their whole family is very proud of her. Congratulations Vanessa, and thank you for bringing a story of kindness to our community.

Congratulations, Kirsten! Check back for another
