SCE asks customers to conserve electricity
Southern California Edison informed residents of two Flex Alerts last week, and the agency is stressing the importance of energy conservation as we continue in the hot summer months.
SCE warns that if customers do not conserve, there could be a need for rotating outages because the demand on the system is too high. On days when the electricity grid is under stress, there could be a Flex Alert, which asks for voluntary conservation during peak hours.
The agency offers tips and incentives for conserving energy on its website.
