COVID-19 Information: Omicron Variant
The Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus has been identified in our area. The most effective tools against COVID-19 remain getting vaccinated and getting a booster dose when eligible. Public health officials encourage everyone 5 and older not yet fully vaccinated or boosted to do so with a sense of urgency. Please speak with your health care provider and/or make an appointment at MyTurn.CA.gov. Learn more about COVID-19 vaccines, boosters, timing, and eligibility on our website.
Other important steps to protect yourself and your household:
  • Wear a mask indoors and at large/crowded events regardless of your vaccination status. Masks are now required indoors statewide for everyone 2 and older.
  • Get tested for COVID-19 if you feel unwell or if you have potentially been exposed.
  • Get tested for COVID-19 before and after you travel, especially if you traveled to locations with high transmission rates.
  • Follow all regulation and guidance regarding masking and testing.
