COVID-19: Latest Updates

  • The governor, county and city entered Phase 2 of their reopening plans on June 5.
  • Lake County announced new hours for its Citizens Information Line at 352-253-9999 operating 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • The governor extended the moratorium on evictions and foreclosures until July 1.
  • The Clermont Downtown Partnership reopened its Sunday Farmers Market starting May 31 with safety precautions.
  • The city canceled its July 4 Red, White and Boom event.
  • The state approved Lake County's Vacation Rental Safety Plan on May 22.  
  • The governor announced that Florida is lifting all restrictions on youth activities, including summer camps and athletics, effective May 22.
Master Plan Updates

  • Art Walk construction is progressing. The brick pathway will cut through the heart of our downtown from north to south; it includes a covered portion and a grassy areas for pop-up vendor tents.
  • Downtown Streetscape construction continues. Phase 1 brings improvements to West Avenue and Osceola Street with an estimated completion of this summer. Osceola Street is being brick paved between 8th Street and West Avenue. West Avenue is closed until around June 22 from Minneola Street to Osceola Street to continue improving our streets.
