COVID-19 Briefing
Youth Vaccination Nights Continue at Levi's Stadium
Teenagers, ages 16-19, and their families can still get free COVID-19 vaccinations as part of Youth Vaccination Nights at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Stop by the stadium's vaccination site between 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 12 and Thursday, May 13 for a vaccine. No appointments are needed at this County of Santa Clara Health System-operated location.

To encourage more teens to get vaccinated, the stadium vaccination event offers the following incentives for youth getting vaccinated: tour of a NFL locker room, 49ers swag while supplies last and the first 100 youth each night will receive a gift card.

The County teamed up with the San Francisco 49ers/Levi’s Stadium for Youth Vaccination Nights, which got underway Tuesday, May 11. View the County's news release for more information.
Vaccine Appointments Likely to Expand to 12 to 15 Year Olds This Week
COVID-19 vaccine appointments for all Californians, age 12 and older, could become available on the State's MyTurn appointment system as soon as Thursday, May 13. This action is dependent on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents, ages 12 to 15. Earlier this week, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for this age group. The timing for when other vaccine providers will begin offering appointments will vary.
Mountain View’s Vaccination Clinic Walk-In Hours
The County Health System-operated vaccination site at the Mountain View Community Center, 201 S. Rengstorff Ave., will accept walk-ins for the remainder of the week (May 10-14).
  •  Wednesday-Thursday-Friday walk-in vaccinations from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. or until supplies last.

Continue to #MaskUpMV
While the County of Santa Clara continues to offer broad opportunities for community members to get a free COVID-19 vaccine, 52.7% of Santa Clara County residents have been fully vaccinated as of May 11. Let's keep it going!

To schedule a free COVID-19 vaccine appointment, visit SCCfreevax.org.

Generally, outdoor activities are safer but masks should still be used in crowded settings even when vaccinated. And remember, for indoor settings outside of one's home, including public transportation, face coverings continue to be required regardless of vaccination status. See the May 3 State Guidance for Use of Face Coverings.
