News and Information from the City of Mountain View

City Launches New ePermitsMV

This week, the City of Mountain View launched ePermitsMV: a one-stop shop for anyone seeking building permits by providing easier electronic submission and 24/7 access to permit status.

ePermitsMV allows users to have

  • One login to access building permit submittals, history and comments from the City.
  • Live, real-time access to the status of a building permit, the timeline of transactions on the permit (e.g., submittal dates, dates of City comments), and which City staff members are assigned to review.
  • Cleaner and clearer electronic mark-ups on building plans and collated comments.

The City has prepared online tools to assist customers, including videos, guides and other resources. One-on-one appointments (virtually or in-person) are also being offered to assist customers with this new system.

You may also register for an informational webinar on April 7 at 11 a.m.

To view the site, and access tools and appointment schedules, visit MountainView.gov/ePermitsMV.

Shoreline at Mountain View Turns 40!

Shoreline at Mountain View was once home to a hog farm, landfill and wrecking yard. In 1968, City leaders had the foresight to purchase the property, and the year after State law created the Shoreline Regional Park Community to take on the responsibility for maintenance of the regional landfill, development of a regional park, and support of North Bayshore’s development into a center of economic opportunity and quality housing.

This year, Shoreline celebrates its 40th anniversary as a regional park and recreation area. Stay tuned for details about multiple events that will be held this year to celebrate this momentous occasion.
