📌 Council held a Public Meeting under the Planning Act regarding a proposed modifications to draft approved plan of subdivision and zoning by-law for Upper's Grove Subdivision
📌Council adopted a zoning by-law amendment for 95 Queen Street South and Confederation Heights Subdivision Phase 10.

The City of Thorold is undertaking a Water and Wastewater Master Plan and a Stormwater Management Master Plan. These studies will complete a comprehensive assessment of the water distribution system, wastewater collection system, and stormwater infrastructure.

The Grand Finale wraps up the Thorold Community Market for 2025
On Saturday, September 13, families gathered to enjoy the upbeat music of The Chimps and a Tribute to Taylor Swift. Children dressed in their favourite Swifite outfit and made friendship bracelets, received heart-shaped glasses and Swiftie stickers.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Community Market Survey and for all of your valuable feedback. Congratulations to Carter Burkholder who won the survey prize package which included a Blackstone Griddle.
A heartfelt thanks to all of our City Council, staff, volunteers, and community groups who collaborated to make this a very successful summer.

Brock Cares Day
On Saturday, September 6, this initiative was part of Brock Cares Day, in partnership with the City of Thorold, Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority and Brock University. Student volunteers removed invasive species like knapweed to protect the biodiversity of the garden and then replanted and mulched the existing 20-metre pollinator garden along one of the main paths. These gardens at Mel Swart Lake Gibson Conservation Park not only beautify the space but also provide essential habitat for pollinators across the Niagara Peninsula watershed.

New Partnership and Logo for Toolbox Project Niagara
On Thursday, September 18, Deputy Mayor Mike DeDivitiis, St. Catharines Mayor Mat Siscoe, and Councillor Mark Stevens attended an open house hosted by Toolbox Project Niagara. During the event, founder James Symons announced a new partnership with Start Me Up Niagara and unveiled an updated logo for the initiative.
Toolbox Project Niagara has grown into a vital community program that delivers essential care packages to individuals facing homelessness and poverty. Learn more about this valuable charity and donate below.
