Hello Friend,
In January, we experienced two snow days and a record-breaking snowstorm! As the icy, howling winds faded, a thick blanket of snow settled over the city, quieting it with a deep sense of serenity. Though we cannot see, we know that life rests and awaits beneath this snow. Just as our Creator is still working in the winter season, we know that He continues to work in the hearts of our children and families, preparing for growth we cannot yet see.
This winter, our children are learning about leaders in the New Testament and how God can use anyone for His divine purposes. We pray that each child will recognize the unique gifts and talents He has placed within them, and that they will grow to live lives of purpose—lives that honor and glorify Him.
Besides the snow days, the past few months have been eventful. We held our 2025 Annual General Meeting, Christmas Celebration Dinners in each of our three ministry communities, and Run for TCM 2025. We are beyond grateful for your support, enabling us to continue planting seeds in the lives of children, youth, and families impacted by poverty, and sharing the hope of Jesus with them.
Read below to learn more about the impacts we are making together and how God is transforming the lives of our children and families!
| | Gift of Christmas: Christmas Celebrations 🎄 | | |
This past December, we held our annual Christmas Celebration Dinners at our three ministry communities. Sixty-nine families, including 239 children, youth, and adults, got the opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus and enjoyed a hearty Christmas meal.
This was only possible through the collective efforts of our partner churches–Don Valley Bible Chapel, City on a Hill, Stone Church, Lighthouse Toronto Church, Heron Park Baptist Church, and St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, who prepared the delicious meals and opened their doors to host our families.
Thank you to all who participated, volunteered, and financially supported us. Your efforts enabled us to continue strengthening our relationships with our families and ministry communities, and to share Christ's love with them.

STORY OF DESTANEE
Transformation through building relationships: A teen’s faith journey at Orton Park
| | |
Destanee is a bubbly teenage girl who radiates joy and positivity. You would not have guessed that public speaking once terrified her. Her voice trembled every time she gave a presentation.
Through TCM’s programs, Destanee learned that God is her ever-present help. During one presentation, she silently prayed, “ God, I know you're with me. I will be okay.” Just like that, her voice steadied, and she spoke clearly. She marvelled at God’s goodness.
Destanee is a TLC (Teens Leading Community) member who grew up in TCM’s programs at Orton Park. Even at a young age, she had a deep desire to learn about God. TCM’s programs were vital for her faith to grow.

Strike Out Poverty is a softball fundraiser to support TCM’s preventative programs for children impacted by poverty.
Families impacted by poverty often struggle to access safe and affordable after-school or seasonal care for their children due to financial constraints.
We bridge the gap by providing free after-school programs and day camps, where kids learn, grow, and are mentored to become Christ-like leaders.

| | STORY OF PAST SUMMER INTERN- ETHAN | Raising servant leaders at Jesse Ketchum | |
For Ethan, summer means service. For four years, he has been a summer intern at Sonshine Day Camp. What keeps Ethan coming back is the joy of witnessing the growth in campers and God’s work in the community. Seeing the kids’ growing excitement for the camp, especially for the Bible storytime and small group discussions on faith, showed him God’s transformational power in their hearts.
"Most of the kids were campers in my first year, so being able to see them have a heart to serve and willingness to learn in this leadership position has been a blessing." –Ethan
