Ribbon Cutting

Coast Transit Authority (CTA) is happy to announce the ribbon cutting of the CTA Tram Bridge. This event will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. on the south lawn of the Gulfport Transit Center, facing Highway 90, next to the foot of the CTA Tram Bridge.


The ribbon-cutting ceremony will also include unveiling the historical marker for the Gulfport Transit Center building, which was previously the Harrison County Library.

Join us in fighting hunger! The City of Gulfport is participating in the annual Extra Table March of the Mayor's Coastwide Food Drive!


Donate PEANUT BUTTER (16 oz. jars) at ANY Gulfport Fire Station between now and March 1st! March of the Mayors is an initiative of Extra Table to increase food donations to the many pantries that support Coast families.

Keep the good times rolling by bringing your Mardi Gras beads and unwanted throws to Mississippi Aquarium NOW THROUGH MARCH 31 to be recycled!


Donations can be dropped off in the BIN on the Ticketing Plaza or at Security, located on the Northwest end of campus.

Valentine's Day at the

Charles Walker Senior Center

The Seniors at the Charles Walker Senior Center celebrated Valentine's Day! The Valentine Center Sweetheart was Mary Forehand, and Sandra Beasley was the Gulfport Senior Sweetheart. The seniors were treated to ice cream sundaes, candy, cupcakes, and music by Auggie!

We're over the moon about the phenomenal success of the Daddy-Daughter Dance! We thank our Special Events Department for orchestrating such a magical experience that brought families a special night of memories!
