Helping Missouri Western

Crews from the city's landfill division, Buchanan County and Missouri Western State University are working together to move 82,000 yards of dirt for future construction at the university. The landfill moved two haul trucks, a track hoe and two bulldozers to the Missouri Western campus to help get the work done. Landfill crews put an 18-inch tube in to cross the creek and are moving dirt to just north of the practice fields. The ground being used for fill consists of black top soil and clay underneath. The soil happens to be very wet after the wet fall and winter making it challenging to move. Some of the landfill crews are working six days a week to help the university finish this project in a timely manner.
#BeCounted 2020 Census

Do you have concerns about the safety of your information? Your 2020 Census information is confidential and protected by law through U.S. Code 13. You will not be asked your social security number or personal identifiers when you receive your postcard in March with information on how to complete the 2020 Census. It's important to complete the census as for every person counted, our state receives $2,800 of federal funding for education, public transportation, emergency food and shelter, and health services.
