Krug Pool House Repairs

Shortly after closing for the 2019 summer swimming season, the Krug Park bathhouse was badly damaged following a high-speed chase. The building sustained severe impact from the vehicle resulting in damage to numerous walls, the roof/ceiling and many interior accessories.

The engineering division in cooperation with the parks and recreation department have been working to prepare the plans and specifications for the repairs necessary. The bid opening is scheduled for this week with the hope the work can be completed by pool season.

Repair and replacement work will include new roof members and concrete block wall components, interior partitions, toilets, sinks, faucets, special interior treatments, painting and cleanup. The work is expected to cost between $70,000 to $80,000.

  • Keep a 36-inch clearance around heaters
  • Plug space heaters directly into outlets
  • Do not use extension cords when using a space heater
  • Never leave a fireplace unattended
  • Do not use your stove to heat your home
