With our playgrounds closed and lessons suspended at City facilities, our Community Services staff has created a fun
Virtual recreation webpage
with lots of resources (for adults, kids, and seniors!) to help keep you moving, healthy, and engaged from home. City staff has also developed a Senior Resource Guide with important information and services available to our seniors and those with special needs.
We have actively partnered with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce on the creation of “The Great Peninsula Takeout” to encourage the community to support our local restaurants by ordering takeout or delivery. In addition, we also have listed businesses in the City that we know are operating virtually or providing important essential services to the community. These and other helpful resources are available on our dedicated coronavirus webpage:
rhe.city/covid19
.
We also encourage our residents to follow us on social media, where we are posting updates and resources daily. You can find links to those pages at the bottom of this email.
In addition, I want to point you to the California Surgeon General’s
Playbook for Stress Relief During COVID-19
,
which you may find helpful during this time of uncertainty and upheaval. Health in all aspects of our lives is critical now more than ever.
We are all adjusting to this temporary new normal, but remember it’s just that: temporary. Please know that your City is here for you, even at a distance. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay resilient RHE.
Yours in service,
Greg Grammer
City Manager
