Greetings in December,
Join Us on December 2nd for It's A Wonderful Night!
The popular family holiday event It's a Wonderful Night will return to Downtown San Leandro this Friday, December 2nd! The event starts with a tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 PM and will run until 9 PM.
The event will feature photos with Santa, holiday movies, games, crafts for kids, and a holiday market! The holiday tree lighting will be at 5:30 PM in Estudillo Plaza at Estudillo Avenue at E. 14th Street. The main event will begin at 6:00 PM and be centered around W. Juana Avenue between E. 14th Street and Washington Avenue. Following the tree lighting, there will also be a light show you won't want to miss!
This is the 25th run of It's a Wonderful Night, which was originally scheduled in 2019. Unfortunately, that year the event was canceled due to inclement weather. The following two years were not scheduled due to the pandemic. So come on out and make this one a great one!

The City of San Leandro is developing a Tree Master Plan (TMP) to create a shared vision and guide for San Leandro’s urban forest that enhances the quality of life in the City. The Tree Master Plan will be utilized to assess the state of urban forestry in San Leandro and identify how to create a sustainable urban forest for the future.
The urban forest consists of all the trees, shrubs, and vegetation within the City, including parks, along roadways, private yards, and natural areas. The connectivity and quality of the urban ecosystem contribute to the quality of life for residents and visitors to San Leandro. Caring for the urban forest is imperative to create a sustainable healthy, vibrant city.
We want to hear from you! Your participation is critical to the success of this project. The following survey consists of 10 questions to gather insights into your understanding, viewpoints, ideas, and priorities. Take the survey here.
