Zen City – Police Department Survey Tool
In the 3rd quarter of 2022, the Police Department will launch a new public survey tool to understand better local concerns, attitudes, and trust in our department. The survey will appear to our residents on their mobile devices, enabling us to more holistically understand local neighborhood safety issues and enhance our responsiveness to community priorities. It will gather responses from residents in English, Chinese and Spanish and will appear through digital ads in various locations on social media platforms. Based on the answers to standardized questions, the department will be able to measure resident satisfaction regarding residents’ feeling of safety and trust in SLPD while identifying concerns residents want SLPD to address.

WM is making it easier for California residents to dispose of mattresses and box springs for free with the expansion of a recycling program with the Mattress Recycling Council that has resulted in four new drop off sites at WM owned or operated facilities.
In the last month, WM has opened drop off sites at the Davis Street Resource and Recovery Complex (Alameda County), Anderson Landfill (Shasta County), Ord Ranch Transfer Station (Butte County) and the McCourtney Road Transfer Station (Nevada County).
The program is already making an impact as more than 1,000 mattresses and box springs have been collected for recycling.
WM is offering this program with help from the Mattress Recycling Council’s Bye Bye Mattress.
To find a drop off location near you, visit Bye Bye Mattress's location finder here.
