The Latest from Doug

I hope everyone has the chance to experience the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival this weekend! I have faith it will hold out long enough for everyone to have a wonderful time. This is one of the many festivals the City hosts and has enough food, excitement, shows and fun for everyone. From the Midway to Woodpecker’s Baseball games, to evening entertainment, I’m confident you will find something to do to enjoy. We invite you to stop by the series of tents that some of our City Departments. City staff will be across from the Cumberland County Library, so come by and see us and while your visiting, grab some swag and handouts.

After the Dogwood Festival this weekend, join us at the Mable C. Smith Park on Monday morning at 10 a.m. for a groundbreaking event for a community center and a ribbon cutting ceremony for the newest Fayetteville Splash Pad that coincides with the official opening of all Fayetteville Splash Pads for the summer season. Be sure to visit FCPR.us to locate your nearest splashpad to enjoy.

Best,

Doug
