I hope you can join us in celebrating his legacy at the 30th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade taking place in Downtown Fayetteville! This event is organized by the Fayetteville-Cumberland MLK Committee and promises a diverse lineup of over 80 entries, featuring school marching bands, Junior ROTC units, kings and queens, church groups, and local businesses. The parade will kick off at 10 a.m. near the Cumberland County Courthouse on Person Street, proceeding down Hay Street and concluding at Pittman Street, between City Hall and the Fayetteville Police Department. It's a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community to honor Dr. King's legacy and embrace the values of equality, justice, and unity.
Fayetteville has always risen stronger in the face of challenges, and the strength of our community lies in the hands of its residents. Let's honor Dr. King's legacy by turning this day into a force for positive change. Together, we can make a lasting impact and build a more resilient and united community.
