The Latest from Doug

As we traverse through the spooky delights of October, it's my pleasure to make you aware of events that promise thrills, chills, and ample community spirit.

On Oct. 27, brace yourselves for the 11th Annual Zombie Walk through Downtown Fayetteville, resurrecting the undead from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Zombies of all ages are invited to don their most haunting attire. Although the traditional procession has been altered for safety, the streets will still be teeming with the undead, led by live music from The Guy Unger Band. Join us for a night of eerie fun, costume competitions, and the undead feeding on fantastic tunes.

While you’re enjoying the fun in Downtown Friday, embark on a strange journey with the Rocky Horror Singalong Trolley that will depart from Bright Light Brewing Company. Delightful shivers of antici...pation will fill the Trolly featuring cast members from the Gilbert Theatre's Rocky Horror production. Tickets are $30 per person.

On Oct. 31, from 4 to 6 p.m., join local businesses, merchants, and retailers in Downtown Fayetteville as they spread Halloween joy with candy for trick-or-treaters of all ages. It's a heartwarming community tradition that adds sweetness to the spooky season.

With Halloween approaching, let's ensure Fayetteville revels in spooky joy safely. We want to keep this the best place to live, work, and recreate as you prepare your costumes and decorations. Remember to prioritize visibility, choose flame-resistant materials, and keep walkways clear. Let's make this Halloween a memorable and safe celebration for all.

Best regards,

Doug
