  • Highland Village Rd. Sidewalk Project. This project is almost complete. There are still punch-list items that need to be done as well as the footbridge that needs to be installed.

  • Chapel Hill Sidewalk Improvement Project. Construction on this project is well underway. The weather events from the past few weeks have slowed down the progress. However, this project should be completed within the next month.

  • 2022 Asphalt Overlay Project. The scope of this project includes overlaying a portion of Highland Village Road, part of Highland Lake Drive, and a parking lot in Copperas Branch Park. The project is scheduled to start in March and should be completed in two weeks.

Parks

  • Unity Park K9 Kastle Turf Project. Contractors are working at Unity Park K9 Kastle Park installing artificial turf in worn areas.

  • Village Park Fiber Project. Nacho's crew installed fiber at Village Park this week to help with the safety of the playground.

  • City Hall Mulch Project. Hector's crew worked on installing mulch around City Hall to help with water retention and plant health.

Human Resources

  • Safety Equipment Grant Project. Human Resources facilitated the application process to receive grant funds of $9,301.94 for safety equipment that will help benefit the Parks, Police, and Public Works departments. This grant was provided by the City’s Workers' Compensation carrier, Texas Political Subdivision (TPS). TPS remains committed to helping members receive the tools, equipment, and training necessary to implement safe work practices.

Marketing

  • Love Gram Mailbox. Thank you to the staff and students at Primrose School of Highland Village for delivering a Love Gram Mailbox to the City. They encouraged employees to write notes of kindness to each other because even adults need notes of appreciation on Valentine's Day!

  • 60th Anniversary Photo Call Project. We're asking employees and citizens to help us celebrate Highland Village's 60th Anniversary by sharing photos from the last 60 years. Email [email protected] and include your name, approximately when the photo was taken, and a little something about the picture. We can’t wait to see your memories and learn more about this city we call home!
