In 1984, Coronado was designated a Tree City USA and today the tree canopy includes over nine thousand public trees. These trees are located in City parks, on the parkways, and in the Municipal Golf Course.
To maintain this treasured urban forest, the City updates its Street Tree Master Plan every five years. The Master Plan was recently updated and acts as a roadmap for the City’s growing and diverse urban forest.

Would you like to add a pet to your home this holiday season? This week’s Pets of the Week are Samurai, Rip, and Phoebe. Eight-month-old Samurai is a kind and gentle kitten who would make a great couch buddy. Rip is a young puppy who is well-mannered, social, and loves to play and nap.
