Through ongoing emergency planning, coordination with regional partners, infrastructure improvements and enhanced response capabilities, we are working to ensure the City is prepared to respond as conditions evolve.

The City’s Project Coronado webpage will continue to be updated with preparedness information and resources, and residents are encouraged to visit the page for the latest information throughout the season.

Sign Up for Everbridge Notifications

The City of Coronado is in the beginning process of transitioning from Nixle to Everbridge, a free notification system that provides important City updates, including emergency alerts, road closures, bridge updates and weather-related information.

Residents must create an Everbridge account to continue receiving City notifications. Both systems will operate during a six-month transition period, with all City mass notifications moving exclusively to Everbridge beginning April 2027

Parker Pump Station Update

The permanent generator has been set, and the first phase of testing was scheduled for October 9. This week, the contractor began pulling wiring and completing the terminations and anticipates that the generator will be operational at the end of next week but until then, the temporary generators are supplying backup power to the new station.

Crews have been constructing the generator enclosure structure and had the first lift of grout this week. In preparation for last weekend’s rain, the contractor cleared debris around the construction fence and inlet protection BMPs.
