Every day, the work that we do here at the City focuses on meeting the priorities of our community. To help us know those priorities, we implement programs and tools to engage our residents, businesses, and visitors. Your feedback is important, and one of those programs, now in its fourth year, is the “Citizens Academy”. Nearly 100 residents have graduated from this program so far. Participants learn about critical roles and functions in the City and how they interact to form a strong and effective government. This program develops future community leaders and builds a better community by creating well-informed and engaged residents. We are holding our next Citizens Academy this fall, beginning September 4th. More information and the application link is below.

The largest tool we use to engage with and provide information to our community is our website. This week we reached an exciting milestone in improving how we can connect and engage with our community with the launch of our redesigned, and enhanced site! We've added new tools to help visitors more easily find what they need. Whether you are viewing from your computer or mobile device, our new layout will smoothly guide you to find the information you need. Very soon, you will be able to subscribe for text or email notifications of the content that interests you. We have many other exciting changes coming in the next few months to help connect you to the city, and us to you.

The new website is currently live, but still under construction. We will continue to work on refining the changes, improving the layout of the information, and of course, fix a few glitches. We will present the new site, it's enhanced features, and share more about what's coming at the City Council meeting Tuesday evening. In the meantime, check it out and let us know what you think.
