August 2, 2019
Hello,

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August each year.

Here in American Canyon, representatives from the City, Police and Fire Departments celebrate as well by visiting the various block parties held throughout our community with some giveaways for the participants. The parties are hosted by residents of the community and take place in neighborhood common areas, parks, on-street blocks, and courts. Party hosts usually share flyers in their immediate neighborhood and post details in their neighborhoods on Nextdoor.com.

Residents should check Nextdoor.com, in addition to the list below, to find a party nearest to where they live. The hosts of the parties listed below are welcoming anyone in the community to join them. If you'd like to volunteer to help or bring something, please call the contact.

Construction Updates
The annual paving project has started! Thanks to funding from Measure T, this work will include the grind and overlay of sections of Chaucer, Kensington, and American Canyon Road, as well as curb ramp replacement along sections of Chaucer and Kensington. Stay up to date with our weekly updates on these projects, and more, on our website.
Donaldson Way Sidewalk Project
We know this project has been an inconvenience for many in our community. We appreciate everyone's patience and are happy to tell you we are in the process of hiring a new contractor to complete the remainder of the project. We expect some of the work to be completed on weekends to minimize the impact on traffic. The work should be completed, finally, by the end of August 2019.
