American Pickers - Possibly in Brisbane!
The History Channel, on behalf of the show “American Pickers”, recently reached out to the Brisbane Chamber of Commerce looking for people who may have interesting antiques and vintage items to sell when they come to the Bay Area in March. They typically buy things like old toys, cars, motorcycles, antique signs, etc. If you or someone you know would be interested in being featured on the show, please contact Chamber President & CEO Madison Davis at [email protected].
Just for fun, we thought readers may be interested to know about some of the other instances where Brisbane has been featured:

This is not an all-inclusive list. If you know of others, and have the links to them, please share them with us!

DTSC Community Survey - Please Complete by TODAY!
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is one of the regulating agencies overseeing the environmental investigation and cleanup activities at the Brisbane Baylands (their portion being the northwesterly area, referred to as UPC OU-SM in the draft Feasibility Study/Remedial Action Plan that DTSC is currently reviewing). As a part of this review process, DTSC recently sent out a 2-page Community Survey to all of Brisbane and parts of Daly City and San Francisco located closest to the site. The survey was also provided in Spanish and Chinese (see below).

DTSC is asking community members to complete both sides of the survey and return it in the self-addressed, stamped envelope by  Friday, January 17th .  You are also welcome to return the survey electronically to  [email protected] . If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Asha Setty, Public Participation Specialist, at  [email protected]  or (510) 540-3910.
