COVID-19: Know the Symptoms and Call Ahead
|
|
To help the public determine whether they have coronavirus, the flu, a cold or allergies, federal officials released a graphic that interprets their symptoms. It is extremely important that you contact your doctor immediately should you have concerns.
Please remember to call ahead so that the medical staff can be best prepared for your arrival.
For non-medical questions about COVID-19, residents can dial 2-1-1. To date, the County has received 365 calls, which has greatly taken the burden off of the Health System; no calls regarding the virus have been made to 9-1-1.
The County has also stood up
cmo.smcgov.org/eoc, where they've been posting regular news releases, and are in the process of setting up a new page that will link to individual cities' responses to the current environment. City staff has been on daily conference calls with them and
San Mateo County Health and we will continue to update you with any new information to share.
Today, the
County Health Officer issued a School Operations Modification Order
that will take effect on Monday, March 16, 2020, and remain in force through Friday, April 3, 2020, unless amended by the County or State health officer. The Brisbane School District is in conformance with this order, as they announced yesterday that a student dismissal would be in effect starting Monday, March 16, with students returning after Spring Break on April 13.
Also announced today was that
San Mateo County Libraries would close all their locations
i
n response to the San Mateo County Health Department’s guidance around ‘social distancing',
starting Monday, March 16 - Tuesday,
March 31
.
You can continue to drop off your library materials at any one of their community libraries, which includes the Brisbane Library, and there are several
Online Resources
available to access from home 24/7. Their online collection includes:
Access these resources and more for free using your library card. If you need any assistance, please get in touch via
email
.
City Council Meetings are being defined as 'essential', and there is one being held next

YouTube, or Comcast Ch. 27 and submit
remote public comments to the City Clerk via email or text at:
The above email and text line will be monitored during the meeting, with any public comments received read into the record during Oral Communications 1 and 2, or during an Item.

Water Main Replacement Project | March 9-13
UPDATE
|
|
Kings Road will be closed in 500’ sections to all through traffic, including driveways, which started on Wednesday, 2/26. The road closures will be from 8am – 5pm, M-F. These closures, while inconvenient, are necessary as the crew starts the main line pipe replacement. Flaggers are located at each end of the project area to help direct motorists. The contractors will deliver notices to residents, outlining which days they plan on being in front of their house and blocking their driveway access.
A reminder that the City has made additional parking for residents available at the base of San Mateo Ln. @ Humboldt.
Please note the dates on all No Parking/Tow-Away signs that will be posted 72 hours in advance of enforcement;
THESE SIGNS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED DURING THIS MAIN LINE INSTALLATION WORK
.
Emergency vehicles and pedestrian access will accommodated at all times, but please allow for additional time for safe access and egress. View our
Water Main Replacement Project Story Map
presentation to get more details of the work. Your continued cooperation and patience is greatly appreciated as the crew works to complete these important upgrades to the City’s water system.
