CITY RELEASES ANNUAL COMPREHENSIVE FINANCIAL REPORT |
The City of Folsom continues to uphold its commitment to strong financial stewardship, earning the highest level of standard for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
The independent audit, conducted by Badawi & Associates Certified Public Accountants, confirms the city's financial statements are accurate and comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The ACFR provides a detailed overview of the city's financial health, including audited financial statements, revenues, expenditures, and financial planning.
The ACFR follows the Governmental Accounting Standards Board financial reporting requirements and aligns with Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) guidelines. Each year, the city submits its ACFR for consideration in the GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting program. Folsom earned this prestigious recognition for Fiscal Year 2022-23 and expects to receive it again this year.
The full Annual Comprehensive Financial Report is available on the City of Folsom website.

It’s Fix-A-Leak Week, a perfect time to check for household leaks that could be wasting water and money. Across the United States, nearly 1 trillion gallons of water are lost to leaks each year—enough to supply 11 million homes.
Are leaks increasing your water bill?
- 10% of homes have leaks that waste 90 or more gallons daily.
- A dripping faucet can waste over 3,000 gallons per year.
- Fixing leaks can save homeowners 10% or more on water bills.
For a limited time, City of Folsom Water customers can purchase a Flume Smart Water Monitoring and Leak Detection device for just $25 plus tax and shipping (regularly $249). Flume features easy DIY installation with no plumbing required, real-time water monitoring to track usage down to the drop, and 24/7 leak detection to catch leaks before they become costly—with 70% of users detecting a leak within the first month.

| 988 CRISIS LIFELINE: CALL, TEXT, OR CHAT |
There is hope. People experiencing mental health crises need to remember just three numbers to dial for help: 988. The 988 Lifeline provides free, confidential support to people experiencing suicidal crisis or emotional distress. The Lifeline is available 24/7 and helps thousands of people overcome crisis situations every day.
The federal number, which is available throughout the United States, including California—is an alternative to 911 for people experiencing mental health emergencies. The new number makes it simpler for people in crisis to tap into the state’s network of Lifeline call centers.
If you or someone you care about needs crisis support, call or text 988, or chat at 988lifeline.org. The 988 Lifeline is a universal entry point so that no matter where you live, you can reach a trained crisis counselor who can help.
