Econome Family Park Grand Opening Celebration Thursday
The public is invited to the grand opening celebration for Econome Family Park Thursday, July 12 at 1900 Parkway Drive North. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a free hot dog dinner followed by the dedication and ribbon-cutting at 7:30 p.m. After the ceremony, enjoy refreshments, sports demonstrations, a history walk, and learn about activities and volunteer opportunities from a variety of community groups.

“Life Lessons” Exhibit Reception Friday
The Gallery at 48 Natoma hosts a free public reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 13 for the colorful and thought-provoking new exhibit featuring an exploration of relationships by three artists. The show includes fabric portraits by Sandra Poteet, sculptures by Amanda Paoletti, and paintings by Chris Foster. An exhibit of work created by outstanding students from Folsom Art Center classes will be on display in the Community Exhibition Gallery. The galleries are located in the 48 Natoma Senior and Art Center; regular hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Entrepreneur Storytime with Jessica Thomas
Entrepreneur Storytime is a new Folsom Public Library event series sharing the stories behind local businesses and business people. Hear the stories, be inspired and network with local professionals. Light refreshments will be served.

Summer Concert in the Park Friday
The free summer concert series at City Lions Park continues 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 13 featuring Simple Creation, one of Northern California’s premier reggae bands. Bring a picnic or purchase food and beverages on-site from a variety of food trucks.

Second Saturday Art Workshop
Join artist Roy Moffatt for a watercolor landscape workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at the 48 Natoma Public Art Center. Roy will demonstrate a variety of watercolor techniques for students to apply to their paintings that they create in the workshop. Samples of Roy’s work and painting styles can be seen at www.roymoffattart.com. Workshop is for ages 18+; all levels are welcome. Class fee is $40 for Folsom residents ($47/non-residents); register online or call 916-461-6601.

Join the Folsom Public Library for My Patients Like Treats: Tales from a House Call Veterinarian to learn from local author Duncan MacVean, DVM.

Lawn Care Basics Free Workshop
