Best Week Ever
The children of Excelsior Springs definitely had the Best Week Ever when Halloween was threatened to be uneventful, many local organizations, businesses, and individuals stepped up to make it a safe and fun day for all!

Special thanks to Shelby Lemon who organized a Halloween Parade for the community!

Pictured to the right is the winner of the Halloween Decorating Contest!
Congratulations to The Booth Family on Sunset Strip!
Coming Soon
Lane of Lights was discussed as possibly being cancelled but thanks to volunteers, the Lane will be set to open on Nov. 21st!

Word on the Street
Multiple local businesses are having to close doors due to the unexpected impact of the virus. Please stay patient as everyone deals with this in their own way and continue to wear your masks, as a small way to help.

What's on the Ballot
On Tuesday, November 3rd we will hold our General Elections here in America. There are candidates and ballot issues up and down the ballot this year. I've collected both Ray and Clay Counties information, providing additional links regarding state and county ballot issues to reference.

Weekly Updates from the City Manager
For some time Molly McGovern, our City Manager, has been providing updates through a weekly newsletter! You can subscribe to receive these and keep up with all that's happening at the City, too!

ES Community Challenge
Every year during the month of November I put together a Community Challenge for Excelsior Springs, with daily challenges throughout the month.

For example, one day might be to walk around your neighborhood and pick up trash. Take a pic of what you picked up and post to be entered to win prizes donated by TK Remodeling and Construction.

The Friends of the Wells has initiated a project for investigation and inspection of Soda Well No. 1 for water quality testing and analysis to help determine the viability of the well to be returned to use. Work will include the removal of all the fill and sediment from the bottom of the well, video inspection of the well from the top to the bottom, disinfect the well, pumping of well for flow rate, collect three samples from the well for laboratory analysis. A written report of the findings and observations, along with recommendations for pump sizing and repairs that may be required will also be included.

Based on our most recent proposal for the work, the Friends of the Wells Committee has established needing $15,000 to complete the project. Friends of the Wells already has $5,000 secured and is asking for your help to raise the additional $10,000. Please donate in any amount that you can by using the convenient online donation button. For more information about the project, click here.
You can make donation for the Grocery Grab at Westlake Hardware!
