The City of Fayetteville is raising service fees for water, sewer, stormwater, and solid waste and recycling collection to offset rising operational costs. The automatic annual increases for water, sewer, and stormwater fees are set to take effect August 1, 2026, based on the preset rate of five percent. Solid waste and recycling collection fees will increase by three percent beginning September 1.
The residential water base minimum from zero gallons to 2,000 gallons will increase from $23.47 to $24.64, and the base water rate will increase from $4.68 to $4.91. The residential sewer base minimum will increase from zero gallons to 2,000 gallons will increase from $25.60 to $26.88, and the base sewer rate will increase from $4.69 to $4.92. Senior rate for water base minimum from zero to 3,000 gallons will increase from $19.99 to $20.99, and the sewer base minimum from zero to 3,000 gallons will increase from $22.39 to $23.51. The commercial water minimum rate will increase from $43.08 to $45.23, and the sewer minimum rate will increase from $46.24 to $48.55. The stormwater rate will increase from $7.44 to $7.81 per month.
Solid waste and recycling fees will increase from $17.50 to $18.03 per month. The additional $4 monthly fee for bulk and yard waste will not increase.
Preset annual increases for water and sewer fees will continue through 2030. Potential increases for stormwater and solid waste and recycling collection fees will be discussed in early 2027 as the City begins the Fiscal Year 2028 Budget process.

The City of Fayetteville has upgraded its online Utility Billing system to offer customers enhanced convenience, greater security, and an overall better experience.
To access the new online Utility Billing system, visit the City’s website, www.fayetteville-ga.gov/billing. Anyone with questions may contact the City of Fayetteville Water Department at 770-460-4237.
| City Center Park Spray Pad Summer 2026 Season | |
The spray pad at City Center Park (located at 210 Stonewall Avenue West, Fayetteville, GA 30214) is open Tuesday - Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Spray Pad is closed every Monday for routine weekly maintenance.
It will be open on Labor Day Monday, September 7, then it will be closed for the season. Regular operating hours on all open days is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
