Concerts in the Park Series Returns July 3

The Parks and Recreation Department’s free, family-friendly Concerts in the Park series will return this summer. The seasonal tradition brings musical acts to the Great Meadow in Chase Palm Park every Thursday in July. The community is invited to bring blankets, chairs, and picnics to enjoy an evening of live music along Cabrillo Boulevard.

City Council Budget and Solid Waste Rates Adoption


On Tuesday, June 17, the City Council will consider the adoption of the two-year financial plan for fiscal years 2026–2027 and the operating and capital budget for fiscal year 2026. This action includes appropriating funds for city operations; establishing the appropriation limitation, schedule of penalties, fees, and service charges; and authorizing staffing levels and salary classifications in accordance with the adopted budget.

This summer, children and teens are invited to eat a free, nutritious meal at Central Library as part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program. Lunch will be served on a first come, first served basis - no applications or documentation needed. Water Main Replacement: Alameda Padre Serra and Surrounding Streets


The City is replacing aging water main infrastructure, including piping, valves, and hydrants to maintain the quality and reliability of water service. Starting mid-June through winter 2025, water main replacement construction will take place on Alameda Padre Serra from Las Alturas Road to Overlook Lane, Terrace Vista Lane, and other locations.
