Eastside Neighborhood Park Reopens While Improvement Project Continues 

Eastside Neighborhood Park has reopened following a series of park improvements, including the installation of two new playgrounds, adult fitness equipment, and accessible concrete paths. Additional improvements, including turf renovations to create grassy areas and upgrades to the community garden, will continue through the new year.

Therapy Dogs Visit Santa Barbara Airport


The Airport is excited to announce a new customer experience program for the howl-idays in partnership with Therapy Dogs of Santa Barbara. Throughout November and December, passengers will be able to interact with trained therapy dogs as they're traveling through the SBA Terminal. Exact dates and times will vary, but passengers can recognize the volunteers and therapy dogs by their purple branded outfits.

Utility Bill Past Due?


Service disconnections will begin in January 2024 for water and trash bills that are 60 days overdue. Make a payment today to avoid service interruption. Payment plans are available. City customers may also qualify for water bill assistance by registering for the Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP). LIHWAP is a federally funded program offering a one-time benefit of up to $15,000 per household for past-due or current bills.

The City wishes you a safe and pleasant Thanksgiving. We are grateful to live and work in this community. Most City offices will be closed Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. As we prepare to gather, the City Fire Department urges the community to keep fire safety top of mind, especially when there’s a lot of activity and people in the home.
