Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event



The Sustainability & Resilience Department's Clean Community Division and MarBorg Industries are hosting a FREE Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Event on Saturday, November 16 at Santa Barbara City College. Acceptable household hazardous waste includes antifreeze, batteries, cleaners, electronic waste, fluorescent bulbs, paints (latex, oil-based, stains, etc.), motor oil/oil filters, pesticides/herbicides, solvents, and more. This event is only open to City of Santa Barbara residents; no business waste.

Construction Begins on Cliff Drive Safety Enhancements


Construction for the Cliff Drive and Alan Road Multiuse Path and Crosswalk Safety Improvements Project began today and is expected be completed November 22. This project will extend the multiuse path from the Cliff/Las Positas Roundabout to the Arroyo Burro Beach County Park parking lot, enhancing accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists. Construction may cause some traffic delays in the area. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our community's infrastructure.
