Cliff Drive Vision Zero Project Design Kick Off 

Get involved in shaping the Cliff Drive Vision Zero Project! The City is kicking off the design phase of the project with a webinar on Wednesday, November 15 and an in-person meeting on November 29. This project will create a three-mile separated path on Cliff Drive, making it safe and accessible for everyone, from Arroyo Burro County Park to Castillo Street. It also includes improvements at intersections for pedestrian safety. Funding is primarily from the California Active Transportation Program, and construction is set to begin in 2027.

Join the City's Environmental Services Division for this month's Neighborhood Cleanup Event on Saturday, November 11 at Cacique and Alisos Streets. No pre-registration required, if you have time, grab some litter pickers or graffiti removal supplies and help transform your neighborhood in a couple of hours.

Westside Community Paseos Project Construction Update


During late November/early December, a new northbound bike lane will be installed on the east side of the 1400 block of Castillo Street. The new bike lane will provide a safe and direct connection for cyclists traveling from Downtown to the Westside and is part of a new crosstown bike-friendly route. On-street parking will be removed on the east side of the 1400 block in order to create space for the bike lane.

Nourishing Our Community: Weekly Food Distributions with Parks and Recreation


Every week, the Parks and Recreation Department and the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County partner to provide free, fresh produce and healthy groceries to the community through mobile pantries and mobile farmers markets. All in need are invited to attend one or more of these food distributions to nourish themselves and their families.
