Beach Plant Removal

After getting some identification assistance from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the City was permitted to remove the Seaside Oxeye by hand. Staff spent a couple days carefully pulling the vegetation without adversely impacting the sea turtle nests. Thank you Public Works staff for improving our beach.
Solar Street Light Project

The new solar street light installation is underway on Bellevue Estates Island.

Third, Fourth and Fifth St. Drainage Improvement Project

The bid will be awarded in September. The project will include installation of check valves at the outfalls to prevent tide backflow, new drainage inlets, paving and curbs as needed.
Gulf Blvd Beautification

Landscaping improvements have begun at the Marina and beach access easements (6th, 12th and 19th Street). ASI Landscape Management was awarded the contract. The work is expected to be completed by early September.

Festival By The Sea

The City is hosting a community event at Bayside Park on Saturday, September 28th from 3 - 7PM. This event has been organized by the Park and Recreation Advisory Board. It will feature food, live music and fun for all ages.

Belleair Beach Strategic Plan
