3rd - 6th Street Drainage Improvement Project

The 3rd - 6th street stormwater project has been progressing with a completion date in January, 2020. The 3rd and 4th Street drainage inlets and curb have been replaced. Check valves to prevent backflow of water on streets at high tide have been installed at the 4th, 5th and 6th Street outfalls.
Belleview Estates Island Undergrounding Project

The undergrounding project is in the final stage of completion. The majority of poles have been removed along with the approximately 170 wires that crisscrossed Bellevue Estates Island. The remaining street lights will be installed to finish the project.
Citywide Holiday Decor

The Public Works Department decorated the City in-house this year. Staff installed all new utility pole banners, tree ribbon, LED lighting and a 19' Christmas tree in front of the Community Center.
Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant

The City is pleased to announce scoring second in the State for the LWCF grant program. A matching grant of $200,000 has been awarded to improve Bayside Park. The City Council will make the following determination of acceptance in the coming months.
Code Enforcement

Code enforcement duties have been contracted to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff will provide up to 15 hours per week of code enforcement duties in the City. Please call (727) 229-8445 for any code enforcement concerns.
Finance Advisory Committee

The City Council has established a Finance Advisory Committee to review the current budget, examine current revenues, expenditures and capital projects and provide recommendations to optimize future demands on the City's resources. The Committee had it's first meeting on December 10th, 2019 at 4:00 PM. The next meeting is on January 13th at 4:00 PM.
