Summer is Here

The City of Clermont hopes you and your family are enjoying the longer days of summer lakeside. We'd also like to wish you a happy Independence Day. We regret that we are unable to celebrate together and had to cancel one of our favorite annual events, Red, White & Boom. However, your health and safety is our highest priority as we work together to slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Check out these tips from the Clermont Fire Department on how to have fun while celebrating safely at home . As a reminder, all city offices are closed on Fri., July 3 in observance of the holiday. Be well, Champions!

COVID-19: Latest Updates

  • The Florida Department of Health opened a new testing site at Real Life Christian Church in Clermont. Learn more.
  • The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation suspended on-premises consumption of alcohol at bars statewide since June 26. Here's the executive order.
  • Lake County reminds residents to properly dispose of their masks, gloves. Check out the news release.
  • One Blood continues to remind people that the need for blood donors continues. Details here.
  • The governor, county and city entered Phase 2 of their reopening plans on June 5. Here's Clermont's plan.
Master Plan Updates

  • Downtown Streetscape construction continues. Improvements to West Avenue are progressing between Minneola Street to Osceola Street (pictured above); it is being repaved and on-street parking is being expanded. Osceola Street's brick paving has been completed between 7th Street and West Avenue.
  • Art Walk construction is progressing with hopes for completion by the year's end. The brick pathway will cut through the heart of our downtown from north to south; it includes a covered portion and a grassy areas for pop-up vendor tents.
