WOMENS' PEER MENTORING PROGRAM - 4 SPOTS LEFT!

As a business owner, you know it’s a challenge to stay on top of everything and keep balance in your life. Peer Mentoring Groups from WeBC offer feedback and fresh perspectives on your business challenges with a solution-based approach.

WeBC and the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce are joining together to offer peer mentoring for women in Revelstoke, starting January 2026.

This program is open to women entrepreneurs in the first five years of business, to help them receive support from an experienced entrepreneur while building a support network of other women founders.

A WORD FROM THE FEDERAL COMISSIONER FOR EMPLOYERS

Read this bulletin from the Commissioner for Employers, covering the PMs announcement regarding new measure to protect the steel and lumber industries, and the House of Common's invite for feedback on their study of the Temporary Foreign Workers program.

BUSINESS TAX COMMITTEE

This Chamber committee has been busy gathering statistics that compare Revelstoke tax classes to the rest of the Province's communities. Last year, we were able to lower the Class 5 tax increase by .5%. We have meetings set for the new year to put forward our robust recommendations to council, specifically with regards to class 5 & 6 and commercial utilities. Keep an eye on our social media channels for updates on this important advocacy work.

BUSINESS LICENSING PROCESS UPDATE

The Chamber has been working side-by-side with the City sharing your pain points in acquiring a business license. The City has made some updates which will help to fast track the licensing process. Find out more here.
