Citywide Residential Program Applications Are Open

Applications are open for the City Hurricane Shutter/Impact Glass Program and the City Senior Mini-Grant Program on a first come, first served basis. These programs are administered by the Hallandale Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).


Applications are accepted by appointment only. You can schedule an appointment to submit your application by calling (954) 988-2631.

We're Keeping Progress at the Forefront

Work for the Community Development Block Grant 48th Year (CDBG 48) Storm Drainage Improvement Project, located in the Hallandale Beach CRA boundaries, was completed on January 16, 2024. As part of this project, crew members installed seven catch basins with drainage inlets and 353 linear feet of French drains along NW 9th Street between N Dixie Highway and NW 2nd Avenue.


This project also features restored asphalt pavement and markings, replaced sidewalks, and new ADA-compliant ramps.

The City Was Awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The City was awarded the Government Finance Officers Association's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2022 Annual Report. This certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

Free Tree Giveaway

The Hallandale Beach CRA invites you to stop by the next Free Tree Giveaway during the Family Fun Day Celebration at OB Johnson Park tomorrow, February 10, 2024, starting at 10 a.m.

 

Please note, you must be a Hallandale Beach resident to receive a tree. There will be both native and fruit trees available, and they will be passed out on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of TWO trees per household (one fruit tree maximum). Available tree varieties include Paradise, Soldierwood, Canistel, Miracle Fruit, Mango, Avocado, Mulberry, and Nance. Subject to change.

Upcoming Florida Department of Transportation Public Meeting

You may attend the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)'s upcoming Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) Project Public Meeting on February 15, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Cultural Community Center (410 SE 3rd Street) and via livestream. During the public meeting, FDOT representatives will discuss the project and answer questions.


Work for this project will be on Hallandale Beach Boulevard from NE 2nd Avenue to South Ocean Boulevard and will extend the life of the pavement, enhance roadway safety, and improve operating features of the roadway.

Hepburn Center After School Tutorial Enrichment Program


The Human Services Department administers a comprehensive after school educational program for children in kindergarten through middle school. The program operates during the school year from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Hepburn Center.

Easter Eggstravaganza


Our annual Easter Eggstravaganza, presented by the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department, returns on March 30, 2024, from 10 a.m. to.1 p.m. at Peter Bluesten Park. This eggciting adventure will feature egg hunts for the kiddos, pictures with Mr. Flop E. Ears, crafts, amusements, vendor/ sponsor booths, and food trucks.
