Roadway Impact Fees
During the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Feb. 20 the council will consider a Roadway Impact Fee.

There have been questions about what the fee is and how it works. Information is provided below:
  • A Roadway Impact Fee is a one-time only fee charged to new development, typically paid at the time of building permit, for the increased traffic demand of the new development on City streets.
  • Current residents will not be affected.
  • The fee (if approved) will be used to widen and expand roadways as traffic increases due to the new development.  This fee is a way to make new development pays for the infrastructure required to support itself, so that current residents do not carry that burden through increased taxes or other methods.
  • View the Public Hearing on October 17, 2016 to learn more. To go directly to this item select 'A. Public Hearing and consideration of a Resolution approving the Land Use Assumptions and Capital Improvements Plan regarding Roadway Impact Fees (Laura Melton)'
