Emergency Preparedness Tip
September is National Preparedness Month and the Burleson Fire Department will be sharing tips with you all month.
This week's Tip: Collect Information
As part of your family's emergency plan it is important to write down important information (on an actual piece of paper) and keep in multiple locations. We all use our cell phone so much but we need to keep in mind that there may not be electricity to charge our phones or we may have lost our phone during the emergency.

Here are some things to write down for each family member: phone (work, cell, office), email, social media, medical facilities, doctors, service providers and school
Pet of the Week - Meet Maggie
Maggie is a five-year-old Chihuahua mix, who can be a little shy at first but once she trusts you she is very loving. Maggie likes to play but she is also a great cuddler and would be the perfect lap dog.
She loves kids but would do best in a house that has older children. Her adoption fee is $140, which includes all of her shots (including rabies), spay, microchip and heartworm test.
Come by and visit her or one of her friends at the Burleson Animal Shelter, 775 SE John Jones Drive. Hours: 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesday-Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays.

We have another lucky winner of a $100 utility services credit
