The Growth Fund & Innovation Fund are for established tourism businesses operating for over 3 years. The Incubator Fund is for tourism entrepreneurs and startups in operation for less than 3 years.

What is Lemonade Day?
Lemonade Day is a free program where kids from Kindergarten to High School can learn about business while having fun!
Participants acquire skills in goal setting, problem-solving, and gain self-esteem critical for future success.

How can your business become involved?
We are seeking “Sweet Spots”, local businesses willing to host a lemonade stand on Lemonade Day. Kids are encouraged to partner
with these local businesses and "rent" space for their Lemonade Stand outside of that business to access higher traffic areas.
They receive a list of the local "sweet spots" to help them connect with business owners that are supportive and aware of the program.
(No guarantee of stand placement; children have the freedom to choose from the Sweet Spot list or approach any business of their choice)

The Apprenticeship Service Grant is a hiring incentive program that aims to help mediate the labour shortage in the construction and manufacturing trades and set both the employer and apprentice up for success at the beginning of the apprenticeship.
The registration process can be accessed through the website, Career Launcher Apprenticeships, which takes just five minutes to complete. Once approved, employers could receive up to $20,000 in federal funding grants. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2024. The goal is to help bridge the gap in the trades industries and to inform employers about the funding available to them before they hire their new apprentice.
Register today for the Canadian Apprenticeship Service and receive up to $20,000 in grants for hiring and training first year-apprentices in 39 Red Seal construction and manufacturing trades.In addition to financial incentives, resources and training are provided to assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retaining apprentices.
The Events & Festivals Fund | Travel Alberta is a grant with 25% matching funding required. The purpose is to reignite existing events and activate new ones that drive overnight visitation. The application period will be announced early in 2024.
Applications are now open for the Canada Summer Jobs Wage Subsidy for the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) wage subsidy program, with an application deadline of January 10th, 2024! CSJ provides wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizations, the public sector, and private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.
The Alberta Catalyzer is a free program that supports entrepreneurs looking to start and grow a tech business in Alberta.
The Alberta Innovates Funding Programs provide several funding programs to support research, the growth of business, and the start-up community to build new technology and drive innovative ideas
Made in Alberta. Celebrate what it means to be Made in Alberta! Alberta producers and processors can use the new label on their locally-made products. The label helps shoppers quickly identify food products made in our province when choosing an item at their local farmers’ market or grocery store.
