The Apprenticeship Service Grant is a hiring incentive program that aims to help mediate the labour shortage in the construction and manufacturing trades and set both the employer and apprentice up for success at the beginning of the apprenticeship. 
The registration process can be accessed through the website, Career Launcher Apprenticeships, which takes just five minutes to complete. Once approved, employers could receive up to $20,000 in federal funding grants. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2024. The goal is to help bridge the gap in the trades industries and to inform employers about the funding available to them before they hire their new apprentice. 

Register today for the Canadian Apprenticeship Service and receive up to $20,000 in grants for hiring and training first year-apprentices in 39 Red Seal construction and manufacturing trades. In addition to financial incentives, resources and training are provided to assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retaining apprentices.

Applications are now open for the Canada Summer Jobs Wage Subsidy for the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) wage subsidy program, with an application deadline of January 10th, 2024! CSJ provides wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizations, the public sector, and private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years. 

The Canada Emergency Business Account repayment period has been extended.
