CHINO, CA (May 29, 2026) -- Thousands of baseball fans from across Southern California welcomed Orel Hershiser Chevrolet to the Chino community during their grand opening ceremony on Thursday, May 28 on the City Hall Lawn. 

Mayor Eunice Ulloa and the City Council were joined by Orel Hershiser and his team for the ribbon-cutting event, which featured Dodgers greats such as Mike Scioscia, Mickey Hatcher, Ramon Martinez, Joe Kelly, Miguel Rojas, and Jack Dreyer, as well as Lakers legend Robert Horry and Dodgers broadcasters Joe Davis and Jaime Jarrin. The event began with a procession down Seventh Street from Orel Hershiser Chevrolet to Chino City Hall, and featured live music, DJ entertainment, food trucks, and an appearance by ESPN Radio, which did a live broadcast at the event. 

"I am thrilled to welcome Orel Hershiser Chevrolet to our community," said Chino Mayor Eunice Ulloa. "Since day one, Orel and his team have made it their mission to become part of the Chino fabric by attending community events and supporting our local businesses. We're excited to have the Bulldog on our team, and I wish them nothing but the best in the City Where Everything Grows."

Hershiser and his team are taking the reins of long-time local dealership M.K. Smith Chevrolet, marking an exciting new chapter for an institution that has proudly served Chino and the surrounding region since 1941. As part of the transition, the dealership will be renamed Orel Hershiser Chevrolet.
